ARTIST BIO

Sarah-Kate Nomura is a Portland, Oregon based artist with a focus on the connection between art and science. She has a BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design and an informal education in natural history gleaned from a lifetime of romping about in the forest. You will find her creating her own pigments from natural materials and working in a variety of media including ink, digital, gouache, watercolor, and woodblock print. She uses line and color to open a window into the deep connection we have with the natural world.
